Days 1 and 2

It didn't start well - Belgrano lost, score unknown...
However, the boys set out on Day 1, Sunday 14th December, riding through the green hills of Cordoba, and meeting up with a bikers convention along the way. After stopping for a rest in Rio Quarto, Luis' bike wouldn't start again and they had a bit of a panic. They started it up with a push and made it to Villa Mercedes, to meet up with cousin Jorge and family for asado (what else?) Then they travelled (after a push start again,) to the town of San Luis, about 500km south of Cordoba. Luis' bike was giving him a hard time, and they were worried about oil consumption, however a quick trip to a local mechanic ensured that he was back to the smiling Luis that we all know and love.
They left San Luis, a 'slow, nice provincial town, with lots of people out on the streets at night' at noon on Day 2, heading for Mendoza - known worldwide as the wine-producing region of Argentina. They arrived safely in Malargue, on Route 40 at the end of Day 2, tired but in good spirits. After enduring 40 degrees heat they were happy to see snow on the tops of the mountains, as they are now at the foothills of the Andes. The bikes are running well despite thunder storms, and the 'skies are beautiful.' OK, we believe you, but we'd like to see some photos!!!

  1. Good luck guys. Sounds like an amazing trip. Personally I can't wait for my mid-life crisis to kick in! Look forward to the tales to come and of course the photos. Though I guess the 'real' stories will have to wait until we meet up again over a cold beer!

  2. Sure they are having fun, specially when it was "no girls allowed" hehe.
I think the day before they left, they went to an "asado" with my (our, whatever) dad and my dad's friends where like: Oh, he loves Wado more, just look the bike he (my/our dad) has bought him! And look the other bike (Jorge's). It is for sure that Wado is the favourite one.
    Hahaha.
I have just came back from Silvia's and she told me the guys stayed in the same hotel that we stayed when we were in Villa La Angostura. I have pictures of the hotel, I'll send them to you if you want to post them here.

I've been trying to send you the trip schedule (by Google Earth) that Wado made, but it keeps coming back to me over and over. I really don't know why.

I think I have the wrong adreess... maybe if you send me and email to my yahoo account I'll just answer it.
